Variable speed vacuum pumps have been pretty much standard on new parlours for a few years now but with rising electricity prices it makes sense to update your existing pump as well. Due to the significant increase in electricity costs, Wooldridge milking technologies have recently been working on an energy saving dairy project for a customer. As a result of the improvements the customer reported their electricity bill for December 2021 was £1500 lower than December 2020. The improvements included, Variable speed vacuum pumps – We kept the original pumps and added variable speed drives to save energy, reduce noise and maintenance.
